US fest to host 3 Iran films

3 Iranian films have been scheduled to be screened at the 29th edition of Palm Springs International Film Festival in the US.

‘Yeva’, directed by Anahid Abad, ‘Beyond the Clouds’ by Majid Majidi, and ‘No Date, No Signature’ by Vahid Jalilvand are set to go on the silver screen at the American film event.

‘Yeva’ is Iran- Armenia co-production which tells the story of a woman who is under prosecution in connection with her husband’s murder, faces challenges in her life.

‘Beyond the Clouds’ revolves around the story of a wild kid who deals drugs and crisscrosses with his motorbike across the city to make the next drop. He reunites with his estranged sister, Taara, in time to become her lifeline after she is being jailed for attempted murder while defending herself.

‘No Date, No Signature’ narrates the story of Kaveh Nariman who is a doctor and works at the Iranian Legal Medicine Organization. He has to examine the corpse of someone that he used to know in the past.

Palm Springs International Film Festival is a film festival held in Palm Springs, California. It started in 1989 and is held annually in January.

The 29th edition of the event is slated for January 2-15, 2018.
